Expensive for one pack

The single glass screen protector recieved (along with adhesive and cleaning accessories) was designed for the newer model kit so it didn't work great with my original installation kit. Also, no camera cut out so the selfie camera is obscured.

Does the adhesive age and expire? I just tried twice to put a protector on that's about 1 year old and has problems with both where there was a circle or mark on each where the fingerprint reader is.
